In today’s society, testing products on animals became more and more common. Whether we consider medicines or make up products to be non cruelty-free, we have to be aware of what we buy and use as in this world testing products on animals is quite common. According to Cruelty Free International, over 115 million animals are being used for animal testing worldwide each year.
What is cruelty-free?
Cruelty-free is a label for products or activities that do not harm or kill animals anywhere in the world.
Why should we buy cruelty-free products?
Well, one good reason is because they are healthier. Just think about how many bad chemicals like parabens, sulfates, and synthetic dyes are used in non cruelty-free products. Another good reason is that animal testing is significantly cruel. Just think about how many dogs and mice are used for example in oncology research and testing. Can you even imagine such a little animal being used and taking advatage of just to meet some not so necessary human needs?
We are not the only animal that mourns; apes do, and elephants, and dogs. Yet we are the only one that tortures.
– Geraldine Brooks

Why should we fight for this cause:
Each year, more than 100 million animals—including mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish, and birds—are killed in U.S. laboratories for biology lessons, medical training, curiosity-driven experimentation, and chemical, drug, food, and cosmetics testing. Before their deaths, some are forced to inhale toxic fumes, others are immobilized in restraint devices for hours, some have holes drilled into their skulls, and others have their skin burned off or their spinal cords crushed. In addition to the torment of the actual experiments, animals in laboratories are deprived of everything that is natural and important to them—they are confined to barren cages, socially isolated, and psychologically traumatized.
How can we stop testing on animals:

“Science and research do not compel us to tolerate…the careless and callous handling of animals in some of our laboratories.”
– Lyndon Johnson
Conclusion:
Animals can feel pain, why do we have to harm animals just so that we humans can satisfy some pleasures? There are so many possibilities to replace the products tested on animals, let's do it, change something, be able to help.
